THE estimated P.5 billion in travel taxes and terminal fees that were allegedly illegally collected from Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) by the Manila International Airport Authority(MIAA) can be transferred to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), according to the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission (PACC).
“It is not illegal because the money will just be held in trust by OWWA,” PACC Commissioner Manuel Luna told The Manila Times on Wednesday.
