SMUGGLED rice worth some P3.6 million was intercepted over the weekend in Zamobanga City by joint elements from the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police and Task Force Zamboanga.
In a report received by the Bureau of Customs (BoC) from Coast Guard spokesman Lt. Cmdr. Arman Balilo, the cotraband came from Sabah, Malaysia, and was already for delivery on board two closed wing van trucks when intercepted by authorities along RT Lim Boulevard in Zamboanga City.
