SMUGGLED rice worth some P3.6 million were intercepted in Zamboanga City by joint elements from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine National Police (PNP) and Task Force Zamboanga.
Quoting a report by the Bureau of Customs, Lt. Cmdr. Arman Balilo, Coast Guard spokesman, said the contraband came from Sabah, Malaysia and were about to be delivered on board two closed wing van trucks when intercepted by authorities along RT Lim Boulevard over the weekend.
