After 24 rounds of sparring and at least 20 rounds working the mitts plus no less than three hours of roadwork, World Boxing Association welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao ends his first week at the Los Angeles training camp on Saturday (Sunday in Manila).

Pacquiao, who arrived in this, the world’s entertainment capital, on Saturday last week with his team, skirmished with three sparring mates for eight rounds– lightweight George Kambosos Jr. (three rounds), super-featherweight Lydell Rhodes (three rounds) and welterweight Arnold Gonzales (two (rounds) – Tuesday and Thursday and scheduled to box anew for another eight by the end of the week.
