MALACAÑANG on Tuesday welcomed news that the Philippines’ inflation rate remained at 6.7 percent in October, calling it “good” and expressed optimism it would slow down in the coming months.

This came as Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo sought a review of the pre-inflation-computed amount received by beneficiaries of a cash-transfer program and a few lawmakers urged the government to suspend excise taxes on fuel to cushion the impact of rising prices.
