Malacañang on Thursday said President Rodrigo Duterte did not feel alluded to by Pope Francis’ remarks calling the critics of the Catholic Church as “friends, cousins and relatives of the devil.”

Speaking to reporters, Palace spokesman Salvador Panelo said Duterte could not be considered “evil” just because he constantly criticizes the Catholic Church, which had been critical of his brutal crackdown on illegal drugs.
