THE Philippine General Hospital (PGH) in Manila appealed to patients to seek treatment from other hospitals or clinics until February if their cases were not “life-threatening,” as it cannot accommodate the usual surge of patients due to lack of space.

“Our appeal to patients is to stop going to PGH’s emergency room for now,” Jonas del Rosario, coordinator for public affairs of PGH, told radio station dzMM.
