THE Philippines appealed to foreign governments to treat migrants “with decency” as it adopted on Monday the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GSM) that aims to protect the rights of migrants workers and refugees.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. joined over 160 United Nations member-states in signing the compact or the Marrakech document during inter-governmental conference to adopt the GCM hosted by Morocco.
