Gilas Pilipinas shrugged off a sluggish start as it demolished the undermanned Japan, 113-80, to stay on the hunt for a fifth place finish in the 2018 Asian Games men’s basketball event on Tuesday at the GBK Basketball Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Philippines pulled away from a tight early game en route to entering Friday’s battle for fifth position against the winner between host Indonesia and Syria, which are clashing at press time.
