The manufacturing sector continued to expand in September, the latest Nikkei Philippines Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) showed, with output growth rising despite a drop in foreign demand.

The seasonally-adjusted PMI rose to 52.0 from 51.9 in August, “signaling another modest improvement in the health of the sector,” Nikkei said in a statement.
