The Philippines, represented by National University (NU), dethroned Thailand, 27-25, 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, to win the gold in the 19th Asean University Games men’s volleyball tournament on Friday at the Zayar Thiri Indoor Stadium in Naypyidaw, Myanmar.
National U brought its University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP)-honed winning form to rule the six-nation biennial meet.
