PHILIPPINE stocks were lower in morning trade on Tuesday as investors shied away from the trading floor on fears that an economic crisis in Turkey could spread out to other markets.

At the noon break, the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index was down 111.16 points or 1.46 percent at 7,524.11 while the broader All Shares shed 51.59 points or 1.11 percent to 4,580.94.
