ILOCOS Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos is “old” and she may not like police monitoring her movements, Philippine National Police Chief Oscar Albayalde said on Monday, in anticipation of her possible arrest after she failed to attend the promulgation of the Sandiganbayan that convicted her of graft last Friday.

"The former first lady might get angry at us since she's already old. We have to take into consideration the age," Albayalde said in a press briefing on Monday amid criticisms about the difference in police treatment of Mrs. Marcos and Sen. Antonio Trillanes 4th who was under tight watch after a local court ordered his arrest for rebellion charges although the lawmaker had posted bail.
