PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) Director General Oscar Albayalde announced the reassignment of a controversial police officer who has "terrorized" narco-politicians but said the move was part of his "pending promotion".
Chief Insp. Jovie Espenido will transfer from Ozamiz City to Catanduanes province in Bicol, said Albayalde, allaying fears among residents that their lives will be in danger because of the police official’s presence.
