Privacy agency pledges to aid number portability

The National Privacy Commission (NPC) vowed to cooperate with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and other agencies involved in the implementation of the recently signed Mobile Number Portability (MNP) Act.

“We shall continue to work with the NTC and all concerned agencies tasked to implement this law and provide additional inputs in the crafting of the implementing rules and regulations (IRR) and other policies, as may be necessary and appropriate,” NPC Commissioner Raymund Liboro said in a statement on Wednesday.
