PHILIPPINE shares clawed back to the 7,500 territory at the morning trade on Monday—a level that was last seen in September—as investors cheered over the United States’ deferral of tariffs on Chinese goods.

At the noon break, the bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index surged by 2.25 percent or 165.44 points to 7,533.29, while the broader All Shares increased by 1.70 percent or 75.60 points to finish at 4,516.93.
