MALACAÑANG and the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday blamed the New People’s Army (NPA) for the deaths of nine sugarcane workers in Sagay City, Negros Occidental and warned the perpetrators they will face “the full wrath of the law.”
Citing initial investigation results, Palace spokesman Salvador Panelo said some victims who survived the attack on Saturday had identified the gunmen as belonging to the NPA, the armed wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).
