SURIGAO CITY: The government’s policy on progressive rehabilitation among mining companies may negatively impact Global Ferronickel Holdings Inc. (FNI) and its bottomline this year, according to its top official.

In a recent press briefing here, Global Ferronickel President Dante Bravo said the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ (DENR) progressive rehabilitation program was “burdensome” on his company, but admitted that it had no choice but to be subjected to it, as it was imposed by the national government.
