SAN Miguel Corp. said on Thursday the P754-billion, 2,500-hectare airport it proposed to build in Bulacan would revive the fishing industry there and turn the province into a “seafood capital” of the Philippines.

In a statement, San Miguel President Ramon S. Ang unveiled a plan to protect and revitalize some 12,000 hectares of coastal fishing areas around the planned New Manila International Airport (NMIA) in the province’s Bulakan town, which he called the project’s “biggest sustainability feature.”
