SAN MIGUEL Corp. has secured original proponent status for its P24-billion unsolicited proposal to extend the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEx) to San Juan town in La Union province.
At the sidelines of the inauguration of the Manila-Cavite Expressway extension project on Tuesday, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) chief Mark Villar told reporters that his agency granted the status “recently.” He did not elaborate further.
