THE Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has allowed Petron Corp. to issue fixed-rate bonds worth P20 billion to repay debt.

In a disclosure, the listed oil company said the securities regulator issued on October 4 the certificate permitting it to sell the peso-denominated bonds.
