THE Senate will start plenary debates on a bill proposing an increase in the spending limit of candidates and political parties.

Senator Aquilino L. Pimentel 3rd, chairman of the Committee on Electoral Reforms and People’s Participation, on Monday, said he had refiled Senate Bill 2072 to discourage overspending and to ensure that all those participating in the poll exercise will be competing on equal footing with other candidates.
