Defending champion San Miguel Beer is keen to book its fifth straight Philippine Cup Finals appearance when it faces Phoenix Pulse at 7 p.m. tonight in Game 5 of their best-of-seven semifinals series in the Philippine Basketball Association at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
“We will work really hard the next game because we don’t want to extend the series. It is hard to beat Phoenix. They showed that they can win successively in the elimination. We have to be ready mentally and physically,” said SMB coach Leo Austria after the Beermen’s 114-91 win over Phoenix in Game 4.
