Some senators made a “wish list” on what they want to hear from President Rodrigo Duterte’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, July 22.
Senate President Vicente Sotto 3rd hopes the President would ask Congress to amend the Local Government Code to allow local government units to have full autonomy rather than push for federalism. However, Sotto said he was open to amending economic provisions of the 1987 Constitution if Duterte would push for charter change.
