The Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) remains optimistic of supplying a sugar quota allocated by the United States despite a projected decline in local sugar production for crop year 2018-2019.

SRA board member Rolly Beltran told The Manila Times the agency was still hopeful to meet the export target of 142,160 metric tons raw value (MTRV) or 132,201 metric tons commercial weight (MTCW) to the US.
