THE stock market dropped to its lowest in nearly two years on Tuesday, tracking an overnight plunge on Wall Street said to have been triggered by fears over demand in the technology sector.

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) fell to as low as 6,820.22 during the day but regained some strength to limit the loss to 6,843.83, down 1.19 percent or 82.37 points and the lowest since a 6,840.64 close on December 29, 2016.
