EXCISE tax collections from sugar-sweetened beverages fell short of the government’s target in the first 10 months of 2018, the Department of Finance (DoF) reported on Thursday.
In a statement, the department said such collections in January-October reached only P29.92 billion. Of the amount, P29.74 billion came from large taxpayers and the rest — P184.4 million — from other taxpayers.
