THE PHILIPPINE unit of Thai firm Charoen Pokphand Foods (CP) has pledged to support the Sorghum Production Program (SPP) of the country to help provide a source of alternative feeds for the poultry and livestock industries.
According to Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol, top officials of Thai firm CP visited the Department of Agriculture (DA) on Monday to express interest in supporting the country’s first-ever sorghum development program intended mainly for indigenous people (IP) communities with vast unutilized lands.
