A transportation group on Friday asked the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to scrap its ban on provincial buses for lack of scientific, legal and economic basie.
Alex Yague, executive director of the Provincial Bus Operators Association of the Philippines, said the MMDA is yet to prove provincial buses cause traffic on EDSA despite only accounting for less than 5 percent of vehicles in the major thoroughfare.
