A typhoon and a tropical storm outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) were unlikely to hit the country, but the southwest monsoon will continue to affect Western Luzon, the state-run weather bureau said on Sunday.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) located typhoon “Soulik” at 1,780 kilometers (km) east-northeast of Basco, Batanes as of 5 p.m.
