Chinese fishing vessels have been confirmed to be near two Philippine-occupied islands within the Spratly Group of Islands (Kalayaan Island Group), according to a Washington-based think tank.

The Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative (AMTI) on Tuesday published a report titled “Still Under Pressure: Manila Versus the Militia” that identified the islands as Kota (Loaita) and Panata (Loaita Cay).
