METRO Manila residents may have to brace for an increase in water rates starting this October after the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) announced on Friday that the board approved an increase for Manila Water Co. Inc.
The MWSS said rates for residents serviced by Manila Water would increase from P6.22 to P6.50 per cubic meter (cu.m.) spread over five years.
