CUSTOMERS of Manila Water Co. Inc. and Maynilad Water Services Inc. will be greeted with higher water rates in July because of foreign currency differentials, the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System-Regulatory Office (MWSS-RO) chief announced on Thursday.
Water rates of Manila Water and Maynilad will increase by P1.58 per cubic meter and P0.26 per cubic meter, respectively, effective July 1, MWSS RO Chief Regulator Patrick Lester Ty told reporters in a briefing.
