THE Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) will ask a Chinese airline company to shoulder the expenses incurred by the Philippine government after one of its planes was involved in an accident at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport that severely disrupted operations.

Manila International Aviation Authority (MIAA) General Manager Ed Monreal said the state-run agency would compute the money spent during the recovery of a Xiamen Air plane that skidded off the main runway of NAIA shortly before midnight on Thursday, resulting in either the cancellation or delay of international and domestic flights.
