Sixteen new records were established in the opening day of the 147th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Championships on Saturday at the Dipolog City Sports Complex in Olingan, Dipolog City.

Heading the list of record breakers was Palarong Pambansa most bemedalled athlete Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh, who registered four new marks in the girls’ 12-year division—5:22.78 in the 400m individual medley, 1:03.35 in 100m freestyle, 1:18.69 in 100m breaststroke and 1:05.13 in 100m butterfly.
