ZAMBOANGA CITY: The Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative (Zamcelco) and power provider Western Mindanao Power Corp. (WMPC) reached a compromise agreement after a meeting with the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), thus ending months of power crisis here.

Prior to this, both groups were locked in a bitter dispute after WMPC cut-off power supply to Zamcelco after the cooperative, now under the management of Crown Investments Holdings Inc. (Crown Investments) and Desco Inc., refused to pay its overdue account amounting to P460 million.
