LONDON: The latest literary instalment of the James Bond saga hit bookshelves on Tuesday, following controversial comments by Anthony Horowitz, the latest author to assume 007 creator Ian Fleming's mantle.

"Trigger Mortis" is the first Bond novel released since the death of British writer Fleming 51 years ago to be set in the "tradition and timeline" of the original series, according to publisher Orion.
