Duterte fires govt corporate counsel over gambling franchise

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte on Monday said he has fired Government Corporate Counsel Rudolf Philip Jurado for allegedly granting a gambling franchise to the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport (Apeco).

"Me, I have fired several and I will fire... May I call the government corporate counsel now... Are you in this...? Nandito ka. kasi kung nandito ka, lumabas ka. P*****-ina (Are you here? Because if you are, get out), you are fired," Duterte said in his speech during the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act event in Malacañang.
