SEVERAL female police officers are now on the frontline of select units of the Philippine National Police (PNP) where they are currently assigned, the Manila Times learned on Tuesday.
These female officers serve as the face and voice of the police units where they are assigned, PNP spokesman Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor said.
“This only shows that the PNP is a gender-sensitive organization,” he said.
These female police officers are Chief Insp. Elizabeth Jasmin, the spokesperson for the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Chief Inspector Kimberly Molitas, the spokesperson for the National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO), Supt. Jean Panizan, the spokesperson for the Aviation Security Group (Avesgroup), and Supt. Elizabeth Velasquez, the spokesperson for the Highway Patrol Group (HPG).
Mayor said that they are highly satisfied with the performance of these female police officers.
“They are performing well and have ably answered and clarified all concerning issues of their respective police units,” he noted.
“Who knows, maybe in the future a female police officer will be named to take over my post,” Mayor said.
